De Anza Force....gearing players for college level soccer

De Anza Force Soccer Club is a nationally recognized youth soccer club in the SF Bay area. The club focuses on year - round professional training that will develop players to their greatest potential, focusing on player development and exposure to the highest level of competition with the goal of preparing players for the collegiate game. In 2010 100% of older girls and boys, elite level players accepted offers to play on college teams. DeAnza Force is uniquely positioned to achieve its goal with a world class training curriculum and both US Soccer Development Academy (boys) and Elite Clubs National League (girls) franchises to put the training to test in elite level game competition.

98 Boys Blue - Champions of Mustang Winter Turf 2012

Coach Chris Stott’s 98 blue team rang in the new year with their first tournament win of 2012. Defeating some of Northern California’s toughest opponents in the preliminary round games, the 98 blue boys won a hard fought battle in the championship game to defeat region four’s top ranked PAC Atlas 2-1. After an early goal in the first half by PAC, the 98 boys rallied to equalize the score before halftime and then scored to take the lead in the second half. Two goals were all they would need to clinch the title. Congratulations 98B Blue and Coach Chris Stott. Go Force!

Force Academy Thriving Under 10 Month Season

The Force Academy has really started to thrive under the new US Soccer Development Academy 10 month season. "We always felt a tremendous amount of pressure to get as much training and games completed prior to the players leaving for high school. When the players returned all the work and progression had been mitigated and we started over at square one. The coaches have done a great job preparing and executing a development plan that encompasses a longer term program and the players are responding," said DOC Jeff Baicher Force Academy.

Force Alumni Competed at NCAA Division I College Cup Championship

The 2011 Women's College Cup had 2 Force Alums represented there this year. Force 90 Alum, Lindsay Dickerson is a goal keeper for Stanford and Force 91/92 Alum, Ali (Alex) Kershner is a goal keeper for Duke. It was a great competitive game where Stanford edged out Duke 1-0 to capture their first NCAA Women's Soccer title. A huge congrats to both Lindsay and Alex for their success!

Liverpool Signs De Anza Force Soccer Club American Marc Pelosi

Liverpool have confirmed the signing of USA youngster Marc Pelosi, with the 17-year-old moving from California to Merseyside to join the youth academy. With Kenny Dalglish placing an emphasis on young players coming through the junior ranks and starlets such as John Flanagan and Jack Robinson shining for the senior side, Pelosi is another step towards building a team with long-term goals to challenge for trophies.

Liverpool youth academy director Frank McParland told the official website: "We're determined to identify the best possible talent globally and I'm delighted we've been able to bring Marc in to the club."

99 Girls capture Tall Trees title

The Force 99G Black brought home 18 gold medals from the 16th Annual Palo Alto Tall Trees Tournament the weekend of Sept. 24-25. Coach Albert Batista recalled, “I am very proud of how far the girls have come as a team in such a short time. They worked hard and deserved the win in this tournament. I see very good things ahead for this team.”

Force players making impact for Youth National Teams

Marc Pelosi has been making huge contributions to the US U-17 Mens National Team, leading the team with 9 goals. He delivered 3 goals against Honduras in a preparation game for the CONCACAF U-17. Against El Salvador, Mark put in the game winning goal then came through with a goal and assist against Jamaica. The US team went on to win the CONCACAF Championship, beating Canada 3-0.

Elsewhere, Force player Stefano Bonomo was recently invited to the U.S. Under-18 Men’s National Team training camp held from Feb. 12-20, in Phoenix.

 

DE ANZA FORCE HONORS 26 SENIOR STUDENT/ATHLETES

Wednesday evening February 2nd, 2011 at the Quinlan Community Center in Cupertino, the De Anza Force Soccer Club honored an amazing 26 seniors who signed their Division 1 and Division 2 College Letters of Intent to continue their soccer careers and obtain their education degrees across the Country.  The 26 players from the Force’s ECNL Women’s team and the USSF Academy Boys team as well as the U-18 Comp team made up a very impressive 95% of eligible seniors in the Force Academy going to college to play soccer. FORCE boys ranked by Soccer America

The De Anza Force continues to lead player development and college placement. Leading national soccer publication Soccer America has now released thier 2010 rankings for girls and boys youth soccer clubs and The Force is among the best in the country. The De Anza Force has now a combined boys and girls ranking as #8 the nation. Soccer America selects the top 30 clubs based on success of their teams in national youth competitions over the last three years (2008-10) and the selection of their players to national teams in 2010, quality of player development and number of players recruited to college programs.

Ballistic United & De Anza Force establish the Force Academy

Ballistic United and the De Anza Force have entered into a partnership focusing on long-term player development and working together to create the next generation of great soccer players. The partnership focal point is on pre-academy ages (U12-U14) and in Fall 2011 will expand to the U8-U11 ages. This program will include player identification, elite level training, and meaningful competition. The De Anza Force and Ballistic United agree that by combining resources, a better job can be done in developing players for our U.S. Youth National Teams and The Force Academy which competes in the US Soccer Development Academy.
